Established in 2018 by Karlyn LeBlanc, aunt of Karsheika Graves, this scholarship will be awarded to a single parent demonstrating a financial need for assistance with completing a degree program at an accredited college.
Done in memory of a beautiful, young, intelligent woman, Karsheika Graves was a single mother who lost her life tragically. Graves, a nursing student, was a victim of a violent act which happened while she was actually attending a class in her nursing program. She was a 21-year-old single mother of two girls when this occurred.
The $1000 scholarship will be awarded annually in the month of September. The deadline to apply and submit supporting materials for the Karsheika Graves Memorial Scholarship is every July 31st by 12:00am (midnight) EST.
